The strength of corrugated cardboard
Corrugated cardboard is a strong and lightweight material consisting of paper and air. The secret of its strength is in the waveform of corrugations of one or more layers, which are glued between flat sheets of paper (linerboards). The arch shape used in the construction of bridges and cathedrals demonstrates the power of this design. The high loading capacity of corrugated cardboard works on the same principle.
The shell is fabricated in BE-quality. This corrugation consists of 5 layers of paper, with double-wave flutes. The interior of the chair is finished in an extra-resistant BC-quality, also with a double-wave (the C wave is somewhat larger). This design makes the chair sturdy and reliable. The FestivalChair consists of at least 85% recycled paper.

Designers can download this template (in EPS format) in order to plan the printing of their chairs. The printing costs depend on the surface/finishing and the number of ink colors (see our pricelist).
