Gispen Sum
On November 2nd, Gispen Sum was introduced in the context of Living Tomorrow, the house and office of the future in Amsterdam. With Sum, Gispen is presenting a new vision of the workplace. Sum is a hybrid, a synthesis of work environment, chair, and table.
After a speech by Gispen director Peter Veer, the architect Ben van Berkel of the UN Studio gave a lecture about the Sum concept.
Then Gispen Sum was revealed with a splash by the Krisztina de Châtel Dance Group. During the performance, the visitors were seated on FestivalChairs which were printed with the Gispen logo. The dancers moved among the chairs, thus bridging the distance between the performers and the audience. Afterwards, the visitors took their chairs home as souvenirs.
